Greetings, Choir! I'm yuxin from 1E4, posting my 1st post in choir board. This post is just a reminder regarding the holiday practices. These are the dates and timings : 27th May : 9am - 3pm 29th May : 9am - 12noon 3rd June : 9am - 12noon 5th June : 9am - 12noon 17th June : 9am - 12noon 19th June : 9am - 12noon Juniors are to come in at 9am every practice and senoirs at 10am to start the combine. PioneerJC and CresentGirlsSS Choir are putting up a concert on 31st March (Saturday) with other groups of performers. Choir members are reminded that they have to watch at least one concert every year.. you may be needed to hand in reports, like last year. (: P.s>> Victoria Concert Hall maybe the venue of the next SYF again.

i know its kinda VERY late for me to post this whats more, what is the rate of people that are coming online and visit the blog during this harsh days.. when most of us are mugging for the papers... not alot papers left but... ALL THE BEST PEOPLE!! DO YOUR UTMOST BEST!!
Objectives:
* Cultivate an interest in choral singing,
* Develop a sense of teamwork,
* Develop a sense of belonging to choir,
* Maintain an acceptable attitude of discipline,
* Develop a sense of sportsmanship
Materials:
* ONE black folder (with refillable plastic sheets)
* Pen / pencil
* Water bottle
Rules:
1. Punctuality (15 min grace): late mark in attendance
2. Music Scores (20 cents/page if lost/ forgotten to bring)
3. Attendance
All official rehearsals, including sectionals (with or without instructor's presence) are counted in attendance.
* Absence from choir: - inform Section Leader, produce excuse letter / medical certificate by the next session
* Zero mark for absence, with or without valid reason
* Above 80% attendance per year before awarded CCA points
* 100% attendance of all pre-concert or SYF rehearsals before participation in actual event is allowed
Audition:
New members:
-Under probation and in JUNIOR CHOIR in the first year, will only advance to Senior Choir the following year if performance for the whole year is satisfactory
Sec 1-3's:
- required to obtain 80% or more attendance before being allowed to audition for any performance/ SYF
- required to pass audition before performance allowed
- Sec 4-5's: need not take audition ONLY IF 80% attendance achieved
Money matters:
-Hand-phone (Fine of $5.00 if it rings during practice),
double payment for Committee member
-Choir fund
